Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 19, 2026

Salisbury Bookkeeping, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates salisburybookkeeping.com and the BuilderCFO dashboard at topbuildercfo.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email cory@salisburybookkeeping.com or call (385) 374-9295.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us directly. When you fill out a contact form, request a consultation, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, and any message you include.
  • Accounting data you connect. If you subscribe to BuilderCFO and connect QuickBooks Online, Xero, Buildertrend, Procore, or another supported platform, we read the accounting and job-cost data required to generate your reports. We never modify your source system without your explicit action.
  • Usage data. Standard web server logs (IP address, pages viewed, timestamps, user agent) and product analytics via Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel.
  • Cookies. First-party cookies for site function and preference storage; third-party cookies for analytics. You can refuse cookies through your browser settings.

How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiries and deliver services you request.
  • To operate and improve the website, BuilderCFO dashboard, and our services.
  • To send newsletter, blog, and service updates if you subscribed.
  • To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
  • To measure marketing effectiveness (aggregated, not individual).

Social media and automated content

Salisbury Bookkeeping publishes educational blog articles and short-form video content to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Business Profile using authorized API integrations with those platforms. We publish to (a) our own Salisbury Bookkeeping channels, and (b) channels that belong to clients of our Rough Cut content-automation service who have explicitly authorized us to post on their behalf through the platform’s official OAuth flow. For each connection, the scopes we request are limited to publishing content to the specific authorized account and reading the resulting post-level metrics (views, likes, comments) so we can measure which educational topics resonate with construction business owners. We never access any account that has not been explicitly authorized by its owner, we never post to an account outside the scope that was granted, and we do not collect personal information about viewers or followers of those posts. Authorization can be revoked at any time either inside our system or inside the platform itself, which immediately stops any further posting on that account. When you interact with our posts (or a client’s posts we manage) on any third-party platform, that platform’s own privacy policy governs your activity on that platform.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the business (Supabase for database hosting, Google Cloud for application hosting, Resend for email delivery, Stripe for payments, Meta and LinkedIn for social posting, Google for analytics and calendar) under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only to provide the contracted service. We will disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and ourselves.

Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for two years. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Accounting data accessed via BuilderCFO is retained for the duration of your subscription and deleted within 90 days of cancellation unless you request earlier deletion.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing cory@salisburybookkeeping.com. We will respond within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know categories of information collected and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell information).

Security

We use industry-standard measures including TLS for data in transit, encrypted storage at rest via Supabase and Google Cloud, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Children

Our services are intended for business users age 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
