Terms of Service
Last updated: April 19, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at salisburybookkeeping.com, the BuilderCFO dashboard at topbuildercfo.com, and the professional services we provide (“Services”), all operated by Salisbury Bookkeeping, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms.
Services
We provide construction-focused bookkeeping, fractional CFO advisory, and the BuilderCFO software-as-a-service financial dashboard. Scope, deliverables, and fees for engagements are set out in a separate engagement letter or subscription agreement; these Terms govern your general use of our web properties.
Accounts
When you create an account you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the Services to violate any law or the rights of others.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users’ data.
- Do not scrape, crawl, or harvest content in a way that impairs the Services.
- Do not upload malicious code or attempt to circumvent security controls.
Content on the site
Articles, guides, calculators, and templates published on our site are general educational information — not legal, tax, or accounting advice for your specific situation. Consult a qualified professional before making business decisions based on information you read here.
Intellectual property
The Services, including written content, templates, code, branding, and the BuilderCFO dashboard, are owned by Salisbury Bookkeeping, LLC and protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial reference; any other use requires our written permission.
Third-party integrations
BuilderCFO connects to QuickBooks Online, Xero, Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, ServiceTitan, and other supported platforms via official APIs. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms; we are not responsible for their availability, content, or security.
Content Automation Service (Rough Cut)
Rough Cut is our closed-beta content-automation service for construction business owners. If you are accepted into the Rough Cut beta and authorize us to post on your behalf, the following additional terms apply:
- Scope of authorization. You grant us permission to publish educational content to the specific social accounts you connect (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and/or Google Business Profile) and to read post-level performance metrics (views, likes, comments) on that content. We do not access any account you have not explicitly connected.
- Approval and control. You remain the publisher of record. Content queued for your channels is surfaced for your review and approval unless you opt into an always-approve mode in writing. You may pause or disconnect any channel at any time, either inside our dashboard or inside the platform itself, which immediately stops further posting.
- Your content, your audience. Content we produce for your channels under Rough Cut is licensed to you for use on those channels; the followers, subscribers, and engagement on your accounts remain yours. We do not claim ownership of your audience and will not solicit your followers for our own services without your consent.
- Compliance with platform rules. You are responsible for ensuring that the factual claims, offers, and regulated-industry disclosures in content we publish on your behalf comply with applicable laws and the terms of each platform. We will not knowingly publish content that violates a platform’s community guidelines, developer terms, or content policies.
- Termination and data. On termination of your Rough Cut engagement we will disconnect our integrations with your accounts, stop further posting, and delete or return access tokens and account metadata on your request. Past posts that have already been published to your channels remain on those channels unless you remove them inside the platform.
Fees and billing
Fees for professional services and BuilderCFO subscriptions are set out in your engagement letter or subscription confirmation. Late invoices may accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate allowed by law. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of $1,000 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Salisbury Bookkeeping, LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claim arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Services.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
