Rough Cut is a closed-beta content automation service for construction business owners. We generate educational short-form video about the financial side of construction — job costing, cash flow, WIP, retainage — and publish it to your own authorized social channels. You stay the author. We handle the production.

Invitation-only. White-glove onboarded. No in-app self-serve.

Why it exists

Most contractors have something to say. Almost none have time to say it on camera.

We built Rough Cut to solve the content problem for ourselves first — Salisbury Bookkeeping couldn't keep up with producing weekly video on construction finance topics while actually running the books. Once the system worked for us, we opened a small closed beta to other construction business owners who want the same reach without becoming a part-time video editor.

Rough Cut is separate from BuilderCFO. BuilderCFO is the dashboard. Rough Cut is the content pipeline. They don't share accounts, data, or sign-up. A construction company can use either, both, or neither.

Every client authorizes their own accounts. Every client can disconnect at any time. Every video is reviewable before it publishes.

    Educational short-form video, on a schedule

    We generate 3–5 videos a week on construction-finance topics — job costing, change orders, WIP, retainage, cash forecasting — tuned to how your audience thinks.

    Publish to the channels you already own

    Your LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Google Business Profile accounts. We never post to anyone else's. You stay the author of record.

    Per-client OAuth, per-client tokens

    Each client authorizes each platform through the platform's own OAuth flow. Tokens are stored per client, revocable at any time from your dashboard or directly from the platform.

    Post-level metrics feed the calendar

    We read views, likes, and comments on what we published so the next batch leans into what resonated. No viewer identities. No follower scraping.

    Human-in-the-loop approval

    Every generated video sits in a review queue until you approve or reject. Nothing auto-publishes without your sign-off — even on a schedule.

    Hands-off weekly ops

    Closed-beta clients get white-glove onboarding, quarterly content strategy calls, and direct Slack access. You get the reach without becoming a video editor.

Platforms

Publishes to the channels you already own.

We connect via each platform's official Content Posting, Graph, or Data API through OAuth 2.0. We request only the scopes required to publish to the accounts you authorize and read post-level metrics (views, likes, comments) on content we posted. We never read your private messages, follower lists, or anyone else's content.

Apply

Fill out the inquiry form below. We reply within one business day with a fit assessment and, if there's a match, a scheduled onboarding call.

Connect your accounts

On the onboarding call we walk you through connecting each platform's OAuth. You stay in full control — revoke access from your dashboard or the platform at any time.

Content begins

Within 10 business days your first batch of videos lands in the review queue. You approve, we publish, metrics come back, next batch adapts.

Your accounts, your rules

You're in control of every connection.

  • Authorize each platform individually — connect LinkedIn without connecting TikTok, or any combination.
  • Revoke any connection at any time from your client dashboard, or directly from the platform's own app settings.
  • Approve every video before it publishes. Nothing auto-posts without your explicit sign-off.
  • Pause the whole service with one click. Your tokens are deleted on request.
  • We never post to accounts you haven't authorized. We never read other people's content.
  • You own the content. If you leave, the videos we made are yours to keep.
